Welcome to Fort Jones Vol. Fire Department

The Fort Jones Fire Department is responsible for providing around the clock fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue and first response to hazardous materials incident mitigation to the citizens living in designated initial response areas.

The fire department will also provide automatic and mutual aid assistance to other fire agencies and jurisdictions,

These services will be rendered commensurate with the highest standards of duty, honor, courage, and dedication with safety as our number one priority.

The Fort Jones VolunteerFire Department was founded 1877, Located at the northern end of Scott Valley, the City of Fort Jones is surrounded by mountains and farmland. The nearby Marble mountains rise to over 7000' and the Scott Bar Mountains to over 6000'.

Fort Jones Fire responds to all emergency incidents within 365 square miles, and mutual aid incidents within 450 square miles, and serves the City of Fort Jones, Scott Valley, Etna, Callahan, Greenview and Quartz Valley.
